More About Chiropractic
Chiropractic?

Chiropractic deals with many aspects of how your body functions including;
nutrition, ergonomics, sports injuries, repetitive stress injuries such as tennis
elbow and carpal tunnel, daily aches and pains, and especially wellness
care.

Inside of everyone’s back is a series of bones called a spine.  Within the
spine lies their nervous system.  The nervous system is a series of wires
which allow the communication between every muscle, joint, organ, and cell
throughout your body.  The nervous system tells all of these areas of your
body how to work, they determine you health.  This means that in order to live
a healthy life you must have a healthy set of nerves.  The spine is made up of
many joints, this allows the body to move and bend. Without all of these joints
we would have a much more difficult time putting on our shoes every
morning.  In between each of these joints is where the nerve is allowed to
leave and give the messages to the muscles and organs.   If the joint is not
allowed to have the proper motion due to the joint locking up or muscle
spasm then the joint will not achieve the nutrition that it needs.  The only way
that joints get their nutrients is through motion.  Without the nutrients the joint
will start to break down, within 24 hours.  After 90 days this break-down will
start to become permanent.  As the joint breaks down the joint will become
more narrow.  Since this is where the nerve leaves from, narrowing creates
pressure on the nerve.  Nerves are some of the most pressure sensitive
structures in the whole body.  The weight of just one quarter will decrease a
nerves ability to function by 60%, and the weight of a dime will decrease the
nerves ability to function by 40%.  It is easy to see how over time these
changes can decrease your body’s ability to function at its best.

Very little of the nerve is actually devoted to sensing pain.  This means that
by the time that pain is noticed the nerve may have significantly decreased
performance, the joint may have considerable damage, and the muscles /
organs which operate by these nerves are likely not operating at their full
capability.  If you have pain or symptoms already make an appointment with
my wonderful staff.  If you are pain free schedule a spinal maintenance check
up to help ensure that your body is able to perform at its best.

can be justified... 97% are
unnecessary."
